The Garden is a mixed-use redevelopment project that brings new life to a prominent stretch of Pittsburgh’s Northside. Comprising four architecturally distinct buildings, the development includes 74 apartments and three retail spaces, all centered around a shared courtyard designed to foster community.

At its heart is the restored Garden Theater, now home to Mayfly Market & Deli and “The Bohemian,” Golden Age Beer Co.’s newest offering, and three loft apartments. The Bradberry Apartments add 16 residences, while the Morton House introduces 10 newly constructed homes.

Anchoring the corner of West North Avenue and Federal Street, 6 W North also represents a step forward in sustainable construction as Pittsburgh’s first use of cross-laminated timber. Together, these buildings form a cohesive whole that honors the Northside’s history while setting the stage for its next chapter.

• The Garden Theater was one of Pittsburgh’s earliest nickelodeon theaters designed for motion pictures.
• The Garden Theater was named by its original owner, David Park, who also owned the Park Building in downtown Pittsburgh. To avoid confusion between the two properties and a nod to his name, he selected the name “Garden” for the theater.
• The Bradberry Apartments were designed by Frederick J. Osterling, the architect behind Downtown’s acclaimed Union Trust Building.
